John Brendan "Ben" Miller, 70, of Canal Fulton passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Echoing Ridge Residential Center.

He was born in Steubenville, OH, on December 24, 1947, a son of the late Orville B. and Margaret (Welsh) Miller.

Ben's smile and his sense of humor brought joy to all who met him. He was greatly loved and will be fondly remembered. As a child of God, he is now completely happy and whole.

Ben lived with his parents until the age of 35. In 1983 he became a long time resident at Echoing Meadows Residential Center in Athens, OH, before transferring to Echoing Ridge Residential Center in 2016.

Ben and his family would like to thank the Echoing Hills Organization especially Echoing Meadows (Athens, OH) and Echoing Ridge (Canal Fulton, OH) for 35 years of love and care for Ben. We would also like to thank The Laurels of Massillon, and Crossroads Palliative Care and Hospice of Green for the outstanding care they provided for Ben during his final days.

He is survived by his brother, William "Bill" (Marilyn) Miller of Akron and a sister, Mary "Plum" (Bill) Edwards of Wintersville, an Uncle, John "Bub" Welsh of Steubenville and a niece, Laura (Lynn) Berg of Cleveland.

Friends may call at Blessed Sacrament Church, Wintersville, from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM on Friday, December 29, with Father Michael Gossett officiating.

Burial at Mount Calvary will follow.
