John Henry Mowry, 80, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away on April 16, 2022. He was born on August 27, 1941 in Buffalo Mills, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Henry Mowry and Carrie "Betty" (Leppert) Mowry. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother, George Mowry; and his sisters, Mary Anthony and Grace Holloway.

John was retired from Kroger where he was a produce manager for 46 years. He was a member of the Brentwood Methodist Church in Wintersville, Ohio and was a Scout leader for 5 years.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol (Thornton) Mowry; his sons, Jeffrey (Vicki) Mowry and Rodney Mowry; his grandson, John Michael Mowry; and his dog, who was his best friend, Charlie.
