John Robert Nemeth, 78, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away on July 2, 2026. He was born on September 30, 1947, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late John and Helen (Hanlin) Nemeth.

John was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and was a member of the Wintersville American Legion. He was also a member of the Mingo Sportsman's Club, GKL Wildlife Association, and the Steubenville Mason’s/Shriner’s. He was a retired certified welder from Weirton Steel. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed being outside.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Channels) Nemeth; his children, Johnnette (Rodney) Lash, Jennifer (Dan) Raddick, and Blair (Kelly McEwen) Schroyer; his brother, George (Nancy) Nemeth; his sister, Nancy Cook-Oelze; his grandchildren, Ashley and Christine Lash and his sidekick, Drew Schroyer; and his many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Homes, 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville, Ohio, on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 6 P.M. until time of services and military honors at 8 P.M. with Rev. Bill Hibbs officiating.
