John "Fred" Frederick Ramsey, 88, of Richmond, OH, passed away March 29, 2020 at Allegheny General, Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born May 11, 1931 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Lloyd and Dessi (Hendricks) Ramsey.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Ramsey; daughters, Deborah Ann and Donna Jean; and sisters, Mabel Elliott and Madeline Parsons.

Fred was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church.

He was an avid farmer. Fred was a member of the Jefferson County Ruritan, Jefferson County Jr. Fair Livestock Sale Committee, Jefferson County Farm Bureau, Jefferson Union Band Boosters and a Ross Township Trustee.

Fred is survived by his sons, Jim (Man-Wang) Ramsey and David F. (Stephanie) Ramsey; daughter, Amy E. (Robert) Scott; nine grandchildren, Kristopher (Amanda) Ramsey, Kaleena (Ryan) Stackhouse, Alicia (Chase) Jolly, Bryan (Elissia) Ramsey, Daniel (Heather) Ramsey, Kalynn (Brett) Telmanik, Meghan, Collin, and Emma Scott; and 12 great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home.

Entombment will be at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
