Loving Father of David Staten, Stephanie Staten, Joseph Deccola, Angelique Deccola Colon, and Laura Sherman. He was preceded in death by his children Jeffrey Jones, John Robert Staten Jr , and  James Delmer Staten. Husband of Darla Jean Barr Staten. Father of Lois Ann Staten, Janet L Staten, Jamie Lee Staten, Jesse A Staten, and Julie I Staten. Grandfather to Analeese, Anamarie, Jayden, Andrew James, Muara, Noah, Jacob, Judah, Sammy, Jesse James,Wes, Scott, Brittany, Kristen, John Robert, Arika, Amber, Jeffery Jr, Melanie, Joesph Jr, Brian, Tony, Madeline, Anthony, Selena, Miranda, Jesse, John III, Alicia, James Junior, and Malachi.
