John H. Williamson, 88, of East Springfield, OH, passed away November 15, 2016 at The Inn at Northwood Village, Dover, OH.

He was born October 27, 1928 in East Springfield, OH, a son of the late George and Anna (Taylor) Williamson.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, George, Paul, and Harold and sisters, Naomi Smith, Alma Schoonover, and Margaret Powelson.

John was a graduate of the Amsterdam High School.

He served his country in the United States Army.

John worked at Weirton Steel for 40 years.

He was a member of the East Springfield United Methodist Church of the Cross.

John is survived by his wife, Davena (Muir) Williamson; daughters, Denise (Mark) McCourt and Beth (G.L.) Rowan; brothers, Edwin Williamson and Robert Williamson; sister, Delphia Burch; and grandchildren, Alana (Josh) Hohman, Matthew Harsh, Michael Rowan, and Emily Rowan.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Saturday from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 12 Noon with Pastor Jim Gaston officiating.

Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Steubenville with full Military Honors.
