JOSEPH F. KORBEL, 82, of Hammondsville, OH passed away in his home of natural causes Sunday, October 17, 2010. He was born in Weirton, WV August 12, 1928, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Fazikas Korbel. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Bailey Korbel who died June 10, 2001, and a brother, Rudy. He was a brickwheeleer for the old H K Porter and Swank, was a lifelong farmer and a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by a son, Joseph (Kelly) Korbel, and two daughters, Mary Alice (Pete) Rockenhauser and Doris Uselton, all of Hammondsville, a brother, George (Judy) Korbel of New Cumberland, WV and 7 grandchildren, Peter J. Rockenhauser, Elizabeth, Cody and Nicholas Rose, Aaron and Amber Korbel and Ashley Springer and a great-granddaughter, Maleah J. Rose. Services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
