Josephine Furbee, 86, of Bergholz, OH, passed away December 8, 2017 at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville.

She was born August 31, 1931 in Bergholz, OH, a daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Griffith) Carrick.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, John Carrick and sisters, Elveria Donaldson and Mary Jane Wiley.

Josephine was a member of the Bergholz United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Walter J. Furbee of Bergholz, OH; daughters, Sheryl Lynn (Ron) Ellis of Wilmington, NC, Wanda Jane (Kurt) Groman of Bergholz, OH, and Norma Jean (Scott) Hupp of Massillon, OH; 6 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz where funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lee Iden officiating.

Burial will follow at Bergholz Cemetery.
