Juanita Byard, 75 of Amsterdam, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Sienna Woods Nursing Home, Wintersville.

Juanita was born September 1, 1935 in Calhoun County, WV a daughter of the late Gertie and Delphia Cottrel Parsons. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a her husband Chester R. Byard, a brother, Eugene Parsons and two sisters Masel Clevenger and Naomi Porter.

She was a business owner with her husband owning a restaurant, bar and car lots. She was involved with the Amstersdam VFW, Alliance Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 296 and was Protestant by faith.

Juanita is survived by her daughter, Lynn Talkington of Bergholz, OH; a son Bruce Byard of Amsterdam, OH; three grandchildren, Chester "C.R." Byard, Ashley Kinney, and Kinsey Shay Talkington; one great grandchild, Gracey Kay.

Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Thursday at 12 noon with Reverend Dave Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Bergholz cemetery.
