Obituary

Judith Louise Meyer Greer lost her battle with pulmonary fibrosis and other health issues but won the victory on January 30, 2025. Born June 18, 1941 to Glenn and Florence Stanley Pyles, she lived in Jefferson County her entire life and was an active member of Sycamore Tree Church.

In addition to her parents and beloved aunts, Carol Henry and Ethel Brown, she was preceded in death by her husband Bill Greer and one great-grandchild, Daxton Wood. She's leaving behind five children, Lynne (Steve) Modranski; Tim (Connie) Meyer; Leanna (Ray) Arbogast; Brenda (Jeff) Wood; Tracie Greer Sampson; her first love, Bill Meyer; fourteen grandchildren, Monica (Matt) Lahr; Sylvia (Bobby) Williams; Jeff Wood Jr.; Benjamin (Jaime) Ramsey; Julia (Travis) Jenkins; Paden (Cylene) Wood; Chad (Christina) Ramsey; Dalton (Colleen) Wood; Jeffrey (Taylor) Meyer; James (Mary) Tonner; Emma (Liam) Halpin; Sarah Sampson; Laura Sampson; sixteen great-grandchildren, and a dozen cousins who call her aunt including Denise (Norman) Gordon and Darlene (Russell) Mohney.

Judy began playing piano and organ in churches around the county in her teens. She had a passion for music and her church and enjoyed running sound and traveling with Crossroads to Glory. She shared her faith generously causing all the youth in the Ohio Valley Emmaus and Chrysalis communities to call her Grandma Judy. Judy shared her love of sewing by being a 4-H advisor for many years, and even as her health failed, every August you could find her watching her grandchildren show their animals at the fair.

She was known by many in the county from her days of working at the License Bureau, M&M Hardware, M&M Bank, and Kuester Implement. Salem Township will remember her as their Fiscal Officer between 2000 and 2020.

Friends will be received for visitation at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville, Ohio, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 4-8 P.M.
