Julia M. James, 86 of Steubenville, Ohio, formerly of East Springfield, went home to be with her Lord on November 11, 2009, surrounded by her family at Trinity Medical Center West. Julia was born January 5, 1923 in Ponce de Leon, Florida to the late John and Ann Lester Kennedy. In 1940, Julia married Russell E. James, who preceded her in death in 1973. Also an infant daughter and two sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Dianne (Mike) Thurston of Carrollton, Judy (Joe) Bowers and Susan (Noble) Roberts, both of East Springfield, and eight grandchildren, Doreen (Tom) Hudy of Carrollton, Russell (Joan) Thurston of Magnolia, Michael Thurston of Dover, Michelle Briggs, Rodney Briggs, Brett Roberts, Julie (Sam) Williams of East Springfield, and Brian (Amy) Roberts of Columbus, OH, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, plus several nieces and nephews.
