June M. Herd, 72 of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Life Line Hospital, Wintersville.

June was born June 1, 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Michael and Olga Drapp Sveda. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Jane Sablak.

She was a registered nurse and was Russian Orthodox by faith.

June is survived by two sons, Michael (June) Furda of Wintersville and Dr. Mark (Sherri) Furda of Steubenville; a sister, Virginia (James) Osikiewicz of Petersburg, OH; five grandchildren, Christina, Michael, and Jessica Furda, Chelsea and Matthew Furda.
