Kaaren A. Long

Kaaren A. Long, 84, of Amsterdam, Ohio, passed away on October 5, 2026 at Valley Hospice, Steubenville.

She was born September 27, 1942 in Amsterdam, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Victoria (Tokas) Bendle. In addition to her parents, Kaaren is preceded in death by her husband, Willis B. Long; brother, Jim Bendle; and sisters, Peg Kidwell, Evelyn Farmer, and Shirley Cash.

Kaaren was Catholic by faith. She was owner/operator of Kaaren Beauty Salon.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Allen) Harper; son, Willis (Melissa) Long, II; grandchildren, Justin (Jennie) Harper, Jeremy Harper, and Willis (Mikayla) Long; and two great grandchildren.

Friends will be received for visitation at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second Street, Bergholz, Ohio on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. A funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, October 9, 2026, at the funeral home at 11 A.M.

Burial will follow at Bergholz Cemetery.
