Karen Dianne (Shoup) Kasper, 73, of Bloomingdale, OH, formerly of Canton, OH went peacefully with the Lord Thursday, January 2, 2014 at home.

She was born August 11, 1940 in Wadsworth, OH, a daughter of the late Arthur and Eva M. (Killough) Shoup.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Zelia Banal.

She was Christian by faith. She attended different deaf churches in Canton, OH. Karen was member of many deaf organizations of North, South, and Eastern, OH.

Karen is survived by her husband of 47 years, A. Jan Kasper; son, Mark A. (Lisa) Kasper; brother, Thomas (Jean) Shoup of North Canton, Ohio; brother-in-law, Michael Banal of Henderson, Nevada; 3 grandchildren, Katie Kasper, Lacey Kasper, and Joshua Kaine; great grandchild, Weston A.J. Kasper; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in the spring.
