Kenneth Eugene Carter, 73, of Richmond, OH, passed away September 16, 2016 at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville.
He was born May 12, 1943 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Henry W. and Leanore (Dunn) Carter.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Henry Carter.
He served his country in the United States Army 101 Airborne during Vietnam.
He attended from JU High School.
Kenneth was a member of the American Legion Post 557, Jefferson Sportsman Club, and Mingo Sportsman Club.
He coached little league football for JU.
Kenneth worked for Clay Coal Mine, James White Construction, Steubenville Transfer Co., Ohio Coal, Collies Stone, and was a heavy equipment operator.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Susan (Boroski) Carter who he married April 1, 1967; son, Christopher (Mary Ann) Carter of Mingo Jct., OH; brothers, Jerry Carter of Wintersville, OH and Ralph (Cheri) Carter of Toronto, OH; sisters, Joyce (Jim) Burkey of Wintersville, OH, Lois (Dave) Hope of Steubenville, OH, and Kathleen (Jim) Robinson of Irondale, OH; many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond on Monday from 4 PM until time of funeral services at 6 PM.
