KENNETH E. FERGUSON, 88, of Richmond, Ohio passed away in his home Tuesday, October 05, 2010 of natural causes.
He was born in Steubenville, Ohio September 14, 1922, a son of the late Lafayette and Florence (Smith) Ferguson.
He was a WWII US Army veteran of the 11th Armored Division, 23rd Battalion. He spent Christmas Eve, 1944 in Bastone, Belgium with General Patton. He retired as a diesel inspector from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and was a Protestant by faith.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nettie (Watt) Ferguson who died March 30, 1988, by 4 brothers, Leroy, Emory, Lafayette and Theodore Ferguson and a sister, Eileen Grimm.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Etta Cunningham and husband Robert of Richmond, 2 grandsons, Robert (Meghan) Cunningham of Toledo and Eric Cunningham of Richmond; and 2 brothers, Robert (Babs) Ferguson of Wintersville and Ronald "Sonny" (Donna) Ferguson of Steubenville.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond with Pastor John Hearn officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM until time of services at 1 PM.
Burial will follow in the Richmond Union Cemetery.
