LAWRENCE A. "Augie" CORNELL, 68, of Wintersville, Oh, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 in Acuity Hospital , Steubenville .

He was born April 3, 1945 in Amsterdam , OH , a son of the late August and Loretta Sheridan Cornell.  He is also preceded in death by his sister, Emma Jean Bake.

He is survived by his sister, Edith Campbell of Steubenville and nephews, Charlie and Kenneth Bake and niece, Holly Hilty.

He was an active member of the Mingo Sportsman's Club, the Jefferson Sportsman's Club and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

A memorial service will be held at the Mingo Sportsman's Club at a later date.
