Lena Speedy Hill age 102 of Granville, Ohio passed away on June 28. 2015. Born February 21, 1913 in Ross Twp, Jefferson Co, near Richmond, OH. Pre deceased by her husband, John W. Hill, parents, William Edgar Speedy & Sarah Jane Sutton Speedy, sisters, Lela (Charles) McConnell, Wilma (Harry) Barnhouse, Charlotte (Albert) Smith, & Martha (Kelsey) Mackey. Survived by children George (Barbara) Hill, Janet (Jack) Dacre, Thelma Hill, Ruth Fay (Hugh) Taylor, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, many loving nieces & nephews and her brother-in-law Albert Smith. Lena was a robust hard working farmer's wife whose late husband was one owner of Hill's Dairy Farms. She enjoyed making quilts, gardening and homemaking. She was a faithful, lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She attended church at Mt. Zion, Richmond, Linworth and Centenary. A memorial service will be held at Linworth United Methodist Church in Columbus, OH at 1 PM July 2, 2015. Graveside committal services will be held at the Richmond Union Cemetery at 1 PM Wednesday July 1, 2015.
