LEONA B.BUCKEL, 72, of Richmond, OH, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2007 in the Acuity Specialty Hospital, Steubenville following a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker and Presbyterian by faith who had attended the Richmond Presbyterian Church. She was born in Pine Grove, WV, July 20, 1934, a daughter of the late Everett and Jessie Scyoc Hartley. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Buckel who died August 1, 2002 and by a son, Lawrence J. Hartley who died May 10, 1951 and by 5 grandchildren. She is survived by 3 daughters, Judy (Gary) Rood of Wintersville, Sandra (Paul) Frame of Wellsburg and Donna Kay Fuller of Steubenville, 5 brothers, Albert, Everett and Clarence Hartley, all of East Liverpool, Carl Hartley of Virginia, Robert Hartley of Bloomingdale, 2 sisters, Jean Newlin of Richmond and May Hartley of Bloomingdale and 8 grandchildren including Angel Buckel, her caregiver and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday with the Reverend Dr. David Massimi officiating.
