Obituary

Lois Lucretia Dye, 81 of Richmond , Ohio passed away peacefully with her family with her on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 .

She was born on October 19, 1929 in Smithfield , Ohio , a daughter of the late Leonard and Margaret Potts Kemp. A 1947 graduate of Jefferson Union High School , Lois was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church, a charter member of the former Richmond Lioness Club and a member of the Jefferson Hills Garden Club. Lois also was a member of the Richmond American Legion Post #740 Women's Auxiliary and worked for 48 years as a poll worker (longest of anyone) for the Jefferson County Board of Elections. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lois was an excellent cook and baker, a beautiful seamstress, and a wonderful homemaker.

In addition to her parents Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Warner Dye on March 27, 2007 , her son Bruce Dye on July 25, 2006 , her brothers Marshall, Bruce, and Boyd Kemp, and her brother-in-law, Dean Clark.

Lois is survived by her sons; Lenny Dye of Wintersville, OH and Eric Dye of Florida; her daughters; Debbie Campana and her husband Joe of Wintersville, OH, Maylee Dye of Warrenton, VA, and Heather Dye of Wheeling, WV; her sister Jackie Clark Haynes and her husband Ed of Steubenville, OH; her grandchildren, Lance Roush of Canton, OH, Danielle Allen and her husband Shane of Pataskala, OH, Waylon Dye of Richmond, OH, Bob Gillette of Wheeling, WV, Eric Gibson of Steubenville, OH, Marcy Olnhausen and her husband Jeff of Temperance, MI, and Natalie Lucas and her husband Dan of Bloomingdale, OH; her great-grandchildren, Damien Roush, Preston and Carson Allen, Larissa Gibson, Mary and Sarah Olnhausen and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St. , Richmond on Saturday from 4-8 PM. Funeral services at the funeral home will be held on Monday at 11 AM with Pastor Carol Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Union cemetery.
