Loretta K. Hopkins

Loretta K. Hopkins, 67, of Bergholz, Ohio, passed away on January 22, 2026. She was born on July 16, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Richard and Coleen (Mackey) Cox. In addition to her parents, Loretta is preceded in death by her siblings, Joann Myers, Susan Bell, Ricky Cox, and Cathy Reynolds.

She loved wandering the woods in search of mushrooms, fishing days, and surrounding herself with the animals she adored. For many years, she worked countless fairs with food concessions, becoming a familiar and friendly face to so many.

Her dedication as a healthcare worker touched countless lives—she brought compassion, steadiness, and heart to everyone she cared for. Loretta had a wide circle of friends who loved and cherished her. She found comfort in a hot cup of tea and excitement in a good thrifting adventure, always able to spot hidden treasures.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Greg) Cox Ross of Indiana, Bonnie Towner of Cambridge, Richard Fortune of Wooser, and Heather (Jordan Yates) Miller of Bergholz; her sisters, Barb Sparr and Karen Conkle; her 13 grandchildren, and her 8 great grandchildren.

In honor of Loretta’s wishes, there will be no services held.
