Obituary
Louis John Gache 87, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away peacefully at Valley Hospice Care Center, Steubenville, Ohio.
John was born May 28, 1929 in Beaver Falls, PA, a son of the late Louis and Martha (Vasas) Gache.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara (Gache) Fink and a brother, Michael Gache.
John married his high school sweetheart, Eleanor and they were married for 65 years. John served in the US army in Germany during the Korea War. He graduated from Geneva College with an Industrial Engineer degree. He then worked for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel for 35 years, including the position as Superintendent of Maintenance.
John is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Hanby) Gache; five children, John R. Gache of Leesburg, VA, David A. Gache of Cape Coral,FL, Carole L. (Gache) Sayre of Tempe, AZ, Larry M. Gache of Cincinnati, OH, and Laurie A. (Gache) Hutton of Eaton, OH; a brother, Gary Gache of Beaver Fall, PA; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 11 AM until 12:30 PM. Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12:30 PM with Pastor Bill Westling officiating.
