Obituary

LYNFORD L. "Wimpy" CATHERS, 83, of Annapolis, OH, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2009 in the Dixon Health Care Center, Wintersville. He was born in Corry, PA, July 3, 1926, a son of the late Raymond and Inez Belle King Cathers. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Raymond Cathers. He was a US Army WWII veteran and then worked as a grinder operator for Timken Co. in Canton for 36 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Annapolis Presbyterian Church and the Unionport Masonic Lodge F & AM #333. He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Myers Mader) Cathers, by 2 step-sons, James Mader and wife Donna of Annapolis and Richard L. Mader and wife Florence of Amsterdam, a step-daughter, Jill Mahy and husband Kenneth of West Liberty, WV, a sister, Harriet Cline and husband Morris of East Springfield, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond on Tuesday from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1 PM with the Reverend Wilford Simeral officiating. Entombment will follow in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
