MARCIA J. ALLENDER, 62, of Amsterdam, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, following a lengthy illness.

She was born March 25, 1949 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the Thomas C. and Twila (Jones) Anderson. She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Shannon Allender and a sister, Darla Boggs.

She was a homemaker and member of the Amsterdam United Methodist Church.

Marcia is survived by her sons, Chad T. Allender of Amsterdam and William "Kip" Allender of Jewett, her daughter, Christine Snyder of Wheeling, WV, a brother, Thomas E. (Linda) Anderson of Amsterdam, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Service of Remembrance for Marcia will be held at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond at 11 AM Monday, June 20, 2011 with the Reverend Charles McNatt officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
