Margaret L. Powley, 75, of Richmond , Ohio passed away Tuesday December 13, 2011 in Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville .

She was born January 27, 1936 , in Edinburgh , Scotland , a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Farquhar) Ramsay. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur G. Powley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Andrew (Faye) Powley, Bea (Hugh) Christopher, Marlene (Dale) Reed, and Marilyn Powley; and special friend, Richard Bryan.

Margaret was a member of the Richmond United Presbyterian Church, Richmond Lioness, Order of Eastern Star Unionport Chapter # 303, and Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Paula) Powley of Richmond and Brian (Betty) Powley of Bloomingdale; daughter, Elizabeth Sutton of Bloomingdale; grandchildren, Sarah, Aaron, Rachel Powley, Beth (Gary) Slates, Alex (James) Kellermier, and Richard Sutton; step grandchildren, Kevin Fent, Shawn Narveleit; and step great grandchildren, Kirsten Reed, Madison Pudder, and Spencer James Narveleit; brothers, Adam (Dorothy) Ramsay of Bonnyrigg, Scotland and Thomas (Fay) Ramsay of Melbourne, Australia; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joan (Stanley) Jurkiewicz of Portland, Oregon, Robert Powley of Steubenville, and Barbara (Harold) Keeder of Toronto, OH.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd. , Wintersville on Thursday from 2-8 PM where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM with Pastor Carol Smith officiating.
