Mark Lee Banfield, 60, of Steubenville, OH, passed away June 1, 2015 at his home.

He was born July 6, 1954 in Weirton, WV, a son of Geraldine (Boals) Banfield of Salineville, OH and the late Richard Banfield Jr.

In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his brother, Rick Banfield.

A graduate of Weir High, Mark was a crane operator for Mittal Steel, formerly Weirton Steel, for 42 years. He enjoyed playing golf, basketball, and attending car shows. He loved watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and West Virginia Mountaineers.

Mark is survived by his mother, Geraldine Banfield; son, Todd (wife Kelli) Banfield of Wintersville; daughters, Michelle Banfield of Oklahoma City and Kristen Banfield of Columbus, OH; previous spouse Barb Banfield, grandchildren Ty and Levi Banfield; niece Amanda (husband Clint) Waronsky and their two children Christian and Mya, as well as niece Alissa (husband John) Brun and their two children Gianna and Alessia. He is also survived by Sister-in-Law Rhonda Banfield.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Thursday from 11 AM until time of the memorial service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bill Westling officiating.
