Mark S. Hitt, 57, of Steubenville , Ohio , went to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 31, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville .

He was born January 2, 1955 in Steubenville, Ohio.

Mark was a member of Bell Chapel Methodist Church . He is preceded in death bt his father Aubrey Hitt and step-mother Monree Hitt.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary "Mickey" Hitt; his mother, Wanda Clevenger and step-father Robert Clevenger; his two daughters, Tina Ely of Steubenville and Rebecca Norris of Georgia; one son, Mark Hitt II of Georgia; four sisters, Candace Hitt of Steubenville, Valerie (Adam) Gorby of Columbus, Cindy (Richard) Haught of Toronto, Ohio, and Kelly (Johnny) Allison of Steubenville; step-brother Robert (Tori) Clevenger of Colorado; grandchildren, Zachery, Alayna, and Tyler of Steubenville, and McKenzie and R.J. of Georgia; his Aunt Linda; Uncle Gene and Uncle Allen and sister-in-law, Diane Schultz.

Mark worked 22 years at Edmonds Trucking in McDonald , PA. He also served his country in the United States Navy.

Family and friends will gather on Sunday February 5, 2012 at Bell Chapel Methodist Church , 3419 State Route 213, Steubenville at 2 PM for a memorial service with Reverend Bill Hibbs officiating.
