Martha Peoples, 98, of Mechanicstown, OH, passed away September 15, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born March 2, 1918 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of the late Edgar and Bertha (Jones) Garringer.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene "Shorty" Peoples who passed away in 1985; daughters, Martha "Susie" Peoples and Beverly "Rusty" Riley; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Martha is survived by her sons, Fred (Yvonne) Peoples of Elmwood Park, NJ; James (Margo) Peoples of Lakeworth, FL, and Paul Peoples of Alliance, OH; daughters, Judy (Ron) Rhodes of Jewett, OH, Nancy Keenan of Calcutta, OH, and Sadie (Frank) Heeter of Mechnicstown, OH; son-in-law, Ernie Riley; 19 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 15 great great grandchildren.

Martha loved her family and was loved by many.

Friends will be received on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz where funeral services will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM.

Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery, Annapolis, OH.
