Mary Alice Champion 82, of Bergholz, Ohio passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was a caregiver for many people over the years and was Christian by faith.

She was born March 24, 1933 on Pine Grove Ridge, a daughter of the late George and Bertha Dowdell DeNoon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her son Greg Champion; brother, Bill DeNoon; and sister, Georgia Shepherd.

Mary is survived  by her loving husband, Charles Robert "Bob" Champion; two sons, Bob (Connie) Champion of Malvern, OH and Todd Champion of Hopedale, OH; daughter, Cheryl Taylor of Dellroy, OH; three brothers, Fred DeNoon, Howard DeNoon, and Carl DeNoon; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz, Ohio on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Services will be held 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Bergholz cemetery.
