Mary Lou Maple, 90, of Bergholz, OH, passed away January 18, 2019 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

She was born April 6, 1928 in Moundsville, WV, a daughter of the late Leslie Whetzel.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Maple, Sr; son, Leslie James Maple; daughter, Barbara J. Freeman; daughter-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Maple; sisters, Bertha Fullerton and Nellie Mae Kemmer; and one grandchild.

Mary is survived by her children, Robert D. (Donna) Maple, Jr., Valiant (Rose) Maple, Richard (Sharon) Maple, Susan (Danny) Koterba, Bennett Maple, and Martha "Ennie" Workman and fiancé, Daniel Morgan; son-in-law, Timothy Freeman; 24 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, nibbles.

Friends will be received at the Bergholz United Methodist Church, 266 Second St., Bergholz on Wednesday from 2 PM until time of funeral services at 6 PM with Pastor Bill Westling officiating.
