Mary Elizabeth Ramsey, 77 of Richmond , Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born June 21, 1933 in Weirton, WV, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Ethel Jackson DeVault In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her twin infant daughters Donna Jean and Deborah Ann, brother James DeVault, sister Dorothy Geissler.

Mary was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She also was a member of Steubenville Civic Choral, Jefferson County Farm Bureau and was an avid gardener.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years John "Fred" Ramsey, two sons Jim (Lois) Ramsey and David F. (Stephanie) Ramsey both of Richmond, a daughter Amy Elizabeth (Robert) Scott of Richmond, two sisters Alice Carter of East Springfield and Margie Jackson of Richmond, brother Dale (Esther) DeVault of Great Falls, MT, nine grandchildren, Kristopher (Amanda) Ramsey, Kaleena (Ryan) Stackhouse, Alicia Ramsey, Bryan Ramsey, Daniel (Heather) Ramsey, Kalynn Ramsey, Meghan, Collin, and Emma Scott, five great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St. , Richmond on Saturday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Services at 1 PM Sunday at the Richmond United Methodist Church with Pastor Carol Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
