Obituary

On July 2, 2026, Mary Christiana Stacey, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and woman of God, went home to be with her Savior at the age of 68.

Born on June 27, 1958, in Steubenville, Ohio, Mary lived a life deeply rooted in her faith and devotion to God. Throughout her life, her faith was not just a part of who she was—it was her identity. She met every trial with prayer and every joy with praise, leaving an unforgettable impact on everyone who crossed her path. Her Bible was well-worn, her prayers were unceasing, and her trust in the Lord was unshakeable. As a faithful member of Global Methodist Church of the Cross, she served her community with a servant's heart, always ready to offer a prayer, a comforting word, a delicious meal, or a helping hand to anyone in need.

She was the heartbeat of our family, instilling in us a deep love for God and teaching us how to walk by faith, not by sight. While our hearts are heavy with her absence, we rejoice in the absolute certainty that she is resting peacefully in the presence of her Heavenly Father.

Her family was her greatest mission field. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith through her surviving family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Daniel Stacey; her daughter, Christina (Kristopher) Haught; her grandchildren, Tristan (Parry) Haught, Brady Haught, Xander Haught; her great-grandchildren, Peyton, Nathan, and Jordan; her sisters Constance (Vlad) Repella, Deborah Copeland, and Frances (Jeff) Gundrum. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Shirley (Sutton) Lucas; and her brother, David.

Friends and family will be received for visitation at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Road, Wintersville, Ohio, on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 5-8 P.M. An additional visitation will be held the following day, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the funeral home from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. with Pastor Tim Colvin officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
