Mary Ann Thorne, 84, of Richmond, OH, passed away January 15, 2018 at Gables Care Center, Hopedale, OH with family and Gables staff at bedside.

She was born May 17, 1933 in Follansbee, WV, a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Duni) Boyd.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Thorne and brothers, Walter, Robert, and William Boyd;  sister, Jean Tinstman

She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Post #33Auxiliary, and Primadonna Red Hatters.

Mary is survived by her sons, James (Darlene) Shay, Douglas Shay, and Jeffrey (Donna) Shay; daughters, Deborah (Ernie) Gorrell and Gerri Ann Thorne and companion, Kenny Walter; grandchildren, Shane (Shannon) and Clay (Amber) Gorrell, Dustin, Jerod (Meghan), Kate (Chris) English, Ashley, Gabrielle, Justin (Rachel), and Sara Shay and companion Zach Cronin, Zac VanKirk and companion Chalisa Cook,  Anna VanKirk, Kathy (Carl) Randalson and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of funeral services at 2 PM with Pastor Donna Bishop officiating.

Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
