Matthew Tyler Smith, age 7, son of Michael Ann Kuester of Bloomingdale, OH and Jamie Smith, Jr. of Uhrichsville, OH, passed away from injuries sustained as a result of a tragic accident on August 27, 2014.

He was born March 13, 2007 in Steubenville, OH.

He was a student at Wintersville Elementary. Matthew loved playing in the mud and getting dirty. He was very active and always on the go.

In addition to his mother, Michael Ann (Chuckie) Kuester and father, Jamie (Lori) Smith, Jr. he is survived by his  brother, Michael Smith; maternal great grandfather, Howard Kuester of Bloomingdale, OH; maternal great grandmother, Mary Downing of Wintersville, OH; paternal great-grandmother, Nancy Beach of Cadiz, OH; maternal grandparents, Mike (Janet) Kuester of Bloomingdale, OH and Mary Ann (Frank) Rayburn of Wintersville, OH; paternal grandparents, Jamie (Melissa) Smith of Bowling Green, KY and Donna (Mitch) Kreuger of Cleveland, OH; aunt, Megan (Chris) King of Steubenville, OH; uncles, John (Holly) Harbold of Germano, OH and Jason Harbold of Newcomerstown, OH; and cousins, Julianna, Mackenzie, Ryan, Molly, and Zac.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Friday from 1-3 PM and 5-8 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM with Pastor Sam Davis officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
