MAXINE J. EMERY, 74, of Amsterdam, OH, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2005 in her home following an extended illness. She enjoyed her family and liked to play bingo supporting local organizations. She was born June 24, 1931 in Beaver Falls, PA, a daughter of the late Forrest A. and Grace (Meeks) Phelps. Also preceding her in death March 8, 2002 was her husband of 53 years, Charles T. "Dick" Emery; a daughter, Joyce E. O'Leary who died March 9, 2000, a great-granddaughter, Christa Lynn Hayes who died June 18, 2005 and a brother, Forrest Robert Phelps who died December 4, 2000. She is survived by 3 daughters, Sandy (Stephen) Grazier, Richmond, Kathy (John) Miller, Brilliant and Janet Findlay of Amsterdam; a son, Charles R. Emery and a brother, Ralph E. Phelps of Pasadena, TX; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday where funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday with Raymond Haygood officiating.
