Michael Andrew Browning, 80, of Richmond, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026. He was born on July 24, 1946, in Colliers, West Virginia, to the late James H. and Rachel Mary (Baldwin) Browning. In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Andrea (Dennis) Kapellen; his brother, Joseph Browning; his step mother, Emmi Browning; and his brother-in-law, John Ceurvorst.

Michael was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving two tours in Vietnam. He worked for Weirton Steel for 31 years and for AEP for 5 years before retirement. He was a lay pastor for West Park in Wintersville, and then went on to become the pastor for Christian Assembly in Burgettstown, PA.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Michalene “Mikie” (Hook) Browning; his daughters, Christine (Douglas T.) Striker and Sarah (Edward K. Boadway Jr.) Browning; his brother, Stephen (Susan) Browning; his sisters, Bobbi Ceurvorst and Becca (Matt) Kallaher; his sister-in-law, Tammy Lynn (McVicker-Browning) Skinner; his granddaughter, Kayla Kristine Striker; his current step mother, Grace Browning; and his many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville, Ohio, on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 12 P.M. until the time of military honors at 3 P.M. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Tony Nicosia officiating. Private burial will be at Fort Steuben Burial Estates at a later date.
