Michael C. Smith, 78, of Richmond, OH, passed at February 7, 2017 in his home.
He was born September 20, 1938, a son of the late Josephine (Ashbaugh) Phillips and Harold Phillips.
Michael retired from the Ohio Air National Guard where he was a mechanic.
He is survived by his son, William "Bill" (Julie) Smith; daughter, Beverly Freeman; brother, William "Bud" Smith; and grandchildren, Krista Roeder, Travis Fryman, Lindsay (Daniel) Hart, and Justin Smith.
Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond on Friday from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1 PM with Pastor Bill Westling officiating.
Burial will follow at Richmond Union Cemetery.
