Mildred Evelyn Huber, age 94, of East Springfield, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023. She was born December 20, 1928, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Skeeles. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Polen Huber and her sister, Eileen Hendrix.

As a young woman, she worked at the Union Savings Bank in Steubenville and later became a secretary at John Gregg Elementary School. After retirement, people would honk as they passed her house and would greet her in stores, remembering "Mrs. Huber," who always greeted them with a smile and seemed to make them feel better, no matter what kind of day they were having. She was also a retired church treasurer and Sunday school treasurer at the United Methodist Church of the Cross. Mildred was affiliated with the Amsterdam Women Club and the Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed her Sunday school class, family gatherings, going for rides in the car, and reading.

Surviving are her two children, Carol (Bob) Sensibaugh and Fred (Cindy) Huber, both of the East Springfield area; four grandchildren, Jeremy Sensibaugh of West Salem, OH, Robbie (Laura) Sensibaugh of Wellsburg, WV, Jason Huber of Cleveland, OH, and Lindsey (Brandon) Kelly of Bergholz, OH; five great grandchildren, Emma Sensibaugh, Amiah Jackson, Paislee Sensibaugh, Jayden Kelly, and Asher Kelly; her sister, Lorraine Ramsey of Richmond, OH; her brother, Harold Skeeles of Kennesaw, GA; brother-in-law, Edgar Harmon of Aurora, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street, Richmond, Ohio, on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 11 A.M. until time of service at 1 P.M. with Pastor Bob Carson presiding. Interment will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
