Mitchell Byron Carson, of Lakeville, Minnesota, originally from New Somerset, Ohio, died Nov. 28, 2014, at the age of 49.

He was born July 16, 1965, in East Liverpool, the son of Nancy M. (Everett) Carson, and the late Byron W. Carson.

Mitchell was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1983 through 1989. A lover of all animals, Mitchell dedicated his life work to raising and training horses.  It was said that even the most difficult horses responded to his nurturing and kindness. Mitchell will be sorely missed not only by the animals he devoted so much of his life to, but also by his friends and family who he treated with the same care and kindness.

Surviving are his partner, Bayne Holley, of Minnesota; mother, Nancy Carson, of Sebring, OH; sister, Diane (Hurst) Bartley, of Sewickley, PA; brother, Chris (Jan) Carson, of East Rochester, OH; four nieces, Lindsey, Ashley, Katelyn, and Lexi; and one nephew, Christopher.

Friends may call at Everhart – Bove Funeral Home, 110 W Main, Richmond, Ohio on Sat., Dec. 13th from 1-3 pm. A memorial service will follow at 3 PM

Burial will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
