Morris M. Cline, 93, formerly of East Springfield, OH, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017 at Villa Vista in Steubenville.
He was born June 23, 1923 in Fairfield, OH, to the late Noah and Lillie (Polen) Cline.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Cross in East Springfield. He served his country in the Merchant Marines during WWII.
Morris held numerous jobs during his lifetime including working for Walt Lint Realty, West End Motors, Cline Brothers Plumbing and Heating, and Cline Brothers Construction. He was artistic and enjoyed painting pictures and making furniture.
Preceding Morris in death in addition to his parents were a sister, Oma Porter; nephew, Jack Kragel; sister-in-law, Carolyn Cline; and brothers-in-law, Lynford Cathers, Raymond Cathers, and Paul Porter.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Harriet (Cathers) Cline; daughters, Cindy (John) Harrah and Kathy (Bruce) Clark of Cadiz; grandson, Michael (Neiva) McKim; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Sydney, and Colton McKim all of Kent, OH; brother, Myron Cline of Amsterdam, OH; sister-in-law, Thelma Cathers of Annapolis, OH; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces, and the caring staff of Villa Vista.
Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond on Tuesday from 5-8 PM where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jim Gaston officiating.
Entombment will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
