Nina C. Baker, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 27, 2025. She was born on November 12, 1934, in Carrollton, Ohio, to the late Charles and Viola (Davis) Grimes. In addition to her parents, Nina is preceded in death by her loving husband, James H. Baker; her granddaughter, Lynn Baker; her infant siblings, Walter Leo & Peggy Jo; her brothers, Clayton, Wayne, Bill, and Bob Grimes; and her sisters, Naomi Kowal & Donna Peterson.

Nina was a faithful member at Chestnut Ridge Church. The love she had for Jesus and her family was shown through her life.

She is survived by her son, John (Colleen) Baker; her daughters, Margaret (Terry) Nighman, Diane (Mark) Chestnut, Rhonda (Glenn Martin) Walker, and Laura Stewart Matics, whom she loved like her own; her daughter-in-law, Patty Ann Baker; her grandchildren, Johnny, Scott, Craig (Kim), Tommy, Mark, Amy, Jimmy, TJ, Angie, Gage (Mackenzie), Isaiah (Logan), Jessica (Adam), Eric (Rhiannon), Bryce, and Carter; and her numerous great and great great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lisa and Brooke from Southern Care Hospice for all of their care and hospitality during this difficult time.

Friends will be received for visitation at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St, Bergholz, Ohio, on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 1-3 P.M. and 5-7 P.M. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home the following day, February 1, 2025, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Bill Grimes officiating.
