Orin Diomedi Jr., born April 2,1934, East Side, also known as The Bottom Mingo Junction.
He was in the auto sales and service business for 60 years, Orins Auto Sales and Service Inc., a business started by his father in 1932.
Orin graduated from Catholic Central Class of ‘52. He went on to General Motors Institute of Flint, Michigan, where he graduated in 1955. Upon graduation from GMIT, he enlisted in the military, 3 years active duty, serving 28 months in Germany. After the military service, Orin attended the College of Steubenville.
Orin belonged to the Mingo Council K-C 3rd degree and 4th degree KC Father Bigelow Council. He was a member of the Alpha Phi Delta Alumni class of Steubenville. Orin was a community minded person and participated in local activities as did his father.
Orin is preceded in death by his father, Orin Diomedi Sr.; his mother, Inez (Crisante) Diomedi; his sisters, Claudett Diomedi and Jeanine Diomedi Turbaugh; his brother, David Diomedi; and his wife, Barbara Maxwell.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Parrish) Diomedi; his son, Stephen (Patti) Diomedi; his sister, Diane (Ralph) Wilkerson; his brothers, David Diomedi and Allen Diomedi; step sons, Mike, Doug, Bill, and Steve; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and his german shepard, Blaze.
Orin requested no services to be held.
To all his friends and associates, he thanks them for being there for him through the good times and the tough times. “You were all family to me, God Bless!”
