Patricia J. Shepherd, 89, of East Springfield, OH, passed away April 26, 2015 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

She was born January 4, 1926 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late John Ross and Lena Odessa (Sutton) Mathes.

She was a graduate of Steubenville "Big Red" H.S 1944.

Pat was a devoted wife, loving mother, adored grandmother, special great grandmother, talented homemaker and dear friend. Her husband of 66 years, Carl Shepherd, passed away, March 5, 2015.

Pat resided in and was an active member of the East Springfield community all of her married life. She was an avid golfer and was a founding member of the Spring Hills Ladies Golf League, winning many awards and scoring a hole in one during her very active career.

Pat was a member of the East Springfield Christ United Methodist Church, as well as the Women's Fellowship Group, she was also a founding member of the East Springfield Junior Women's Club and was a current member of the East Springfield Senior Citizens Club. She also enjoyed all of her friends and the fellowship at the Prime Time Lunches in Richmond.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Shepherd; son, Robert (Catherine) Shepherd; granddaughter, Dr. Jessica (Jason) Kile; grandson, Steven Shepherd; great granddaughter, Reagan Kile; great grandson, Avery Kile; and great grandson, Grant Kile, as well as her beloved brother, John Mathes, and her much loved nieces, Georgi Weiser, Donna Eastham, Joni Linch, Sherri Shaffer, Terri Donato, and their families.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 4-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond, Ohio and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bob Welch officiating.

Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
