Patrick Daniel McGeehan, 65 of East Liverpool , Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at his home.

He was born September 25, 1945 in Steubenville , Ohio a son of the late James Daniel McGeehan and Mary Margaret Peter McGeehan of Steubenville .

Patrick military career included four years in the Air Force, two years in the Navy where he also served with a Marine outfit, and 33 years in the National Guard. He was a Vietnam Veteran and received  the Airborne and Air Assault Commemorative Medal and the Vietnam Combat Service Medal. Upon his retirement in 2005 he received the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal. Patrick was a registered nurse with UPMC, a special deputy with the Jefferson County Sheriffs Dept., district executive for the Boy Scouts of America, Oblate with the Order of St. Benedict, and was Catholic by faith.

In addition to his mother, Mary he is survived by a brother, James Peter McGeehan of Richmond; sister, Von (John) Holmes of Steubenville; aunt, Irene McGeehan of East Liverpool; two uncles, Les Stuckemeyer of Wintersville and Dick McGeehan of New Cumberland, WV; four nephews, Adam Schneider, Greg, Scott, and Luke Holmes; many cousins and dear friends.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd , Wintersville on Sunday from 5-8 PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, Richmond with Msgr. Kenneth Uram celebrant.
