Paul Thomas Cozart, 63 of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville following a lengthy illness. Paul was retired from Weirton Steel and a vice president of the United Martial Arts Association. He was also a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church where he loved to sing in the choir and served on the Staff Parish Relations Committee.
Paul was born February 1, 1943 in McKeesport, PA, a son of the late Roscoe Clair and Gertrude Paranish Cozart. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Cozart and two young sisters.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Paulette (Hitchcock) Cozart.One son, Daniel Paul (Dawn) Cozart of Bloomingdale. Three daughters, Babette (David) Voght, Deborah (William) Rodriguez, and Christina (Christopher) Cooley all of Richmond. Three brothers John W. (Christine) Cozart of Athens, OH; Edward (Sheila) Cozart and Ron Cozart both of Pomeroy, OH. One sister, Wilma Smith of Racine, OH. Ten grandchildren: Troy Carte, David and Zachariah Voght, Erica and Alexa Irvine, Isabella Rodriguez, Arianna, Brandon, and Chelsea Cozart, Cameron Cooley and one great- grandson, Aiden Carte.
Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday at the Richmond United Methodist Church with the Reverend Gary Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Union Cemetery.
