Paul Robert Homol, 65 of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 03, 2009 in his home surrounded by his family.
Paul was born August 28, 1944 in Bloomingdale, Ohio, a son of the late Paul George and Anna Marie Matuska Homol. He was a graduate of Hopedale High School, a veteran of the US Navy, an avid hunter and outdoorsman, past little league baseball coach in Toronto and also helped with the league in Bloomingdale. He worked as a truck driver, mechanic, building inspector, and farmed his whole life. He started Sonny Acre Farms in Bloomingdale. Paul was very charitable including giving a tractor he loved to the JVS, giving loads of vegetables and meat to the Urban Mission and Calabrese Apartments. Paul was Catholic by faith.
Paul is survived by his wife Hazel McTheny Homol, whom he married December 30, 1975. Six sons, Johnny (Kim) Homol, Edward (Lisa) Homol, RT Homol all of Bloomingdale, Paul Homol of Weirton, WV, Mike Homol of New Hampshire, and Donald Homol of Bellfontaine, OH; twenty grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Shirley Locke of Anaheim, CA, Barbara Sliva of Adena, OH, Patricia Ball of El Paso, TX, and Sandra (Monroe) Robinson of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother Michael Homol of Bloomingdale, OH.
