Pauline Thursey Moody, 82, of Steubenville , Ohio went to be with the Lord, Thursday,

May 19, 2011.

She was born March 22, 1929 in New Castle , Indiana , a daughter of the late Afrey Taylor and Josephine Ellen Winchester Bates. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.

Pauline was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church . She was a homemaker and loving wife and mother. She loved to read, write poetry, and was a tremendous blessing to her family. She dearly loved all her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Paul R. Moody Sr.; daughters, Barbara Kulow, Anna Haggerty, Pam Linke, Patricia (Ralph Jr.) Taylor, Sandy Nation, Janice (Brian) Striker; son, Paul R. ( Elizabeth ) Moody II; 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Alta Bedinghaus, Wanda Giannuzio and Wilma Risch.

Friends will be received at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 2305 State Route 213, Steubenville on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM where funeral services will take place at 11AM on Tuesday with Pastor Roger Wayne officiating.
