Pearl Viola Clifton, 84 has gone home to be with her Lord Savior on January 8, 2011 . Pearl was a former resident of East Springfield , Ohio and the Lancia Villa Royale Steubenville, Ohio . She was born September 26, 1926 in Holloway , Ohio a daughter of the late William and Goldie Nabb Bethel. Also preceding her in death is her loving husband Clyde H. Clifton and brother Kenneth Bethel.

Surviving are her children, Mary Ellen Horkey (Perry) of Amsterdam , OH , Clyde Clifton, Jr. of Steubenville, OH, and Dawn Changuit (Mohammed) of Orlando, FL. Also surviving are her brothers Trevison Bethel (Waverly) of Uhrichsville, OH, Robert Bethel of Davenport, FL, Marvin Bethel (Glenna) of Uhrichsville, OH; sisters Dorothy Phillips of Coshocton, OH, Gloria Cloverdale of Dennison, OH, and Carol Jean Hennis of Lima, OH; five grandchildren, Scott, Cory, Danielle, Jim and Breanne; five great-grandchildren.

Those we hold dear never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they showed, the comfort they shared, and the love they brought into our lives.

Pearl was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Cross in East Springfield . She was a homemaker and loved gardening, sewing and volunteering at her church. Pearl will always be remembered for her kind and loving heart to all who knew her.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St. , Richmond on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services Tuesday11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Snodgrass officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
