Phillip Wayne Ferguson, 69, of Wintersville, OH, passed away January 4, 2017 at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born October 8, 1947, in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Philip R. and Margaret E. (Emery) Ferguson.
Phillip was a graduate of Steubenville Big Red High School and attended Jefferson Community College.
He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Judith whom he married on May 17, 1986; daughter, Angel (Scott) Grimm; son, Brian W. Ferguson; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Douglas Ferguson; sister, Beth Ferguson; uncle, Edward (Frances) Emery; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Phillip was Methodist by faith and an active member of the Mason Pilgrim Lodge #691 A & FM, Valley of Steubenville AASR, Scottish Rite, and Jefferson County Sportsman Club. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel with 28 years of service.
Friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville and again on Saturday from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM with Pastor Paul David Ferguson officiating.
Masonic services will be held on Friday at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mason Learning Center, 227 N 4th St., Steubenville, OH and the Shriners Children's Burn Hospital.
