Phyllis Jane Taylor, 81 of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Laurels of Steubenville. She was born January 13, 1929 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Maywood E. and Bessie Risdon Cozart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Edwin "Cy" Taylor; brothers, Robert, William, and Lee Cozart; a sister Joyce (Lawrence) Chappell. Phyllis was a member of the Labelle Chapter of Eastern Star and SHS Alumni Association. Surviving are her children, daughters Cathy (Joe) Kerr and Margaretta "Maggie" Jablonski both Of Steubenville, a son James (Jane) Taylor of Columbus, OH; sister, Eileen Cozart of Steubenville; six grandchildren, Billy Joe (Shannon), Brian, and Kevin (Autumn) Kerr, Michelle (Brian) Moss, Christina and Molly Taylor; eight great-grandchildren, Jordan, Konnor, Jayden, Dylan, Preston and Rylee Kerr, Taylor and Daniel Moss; two step great-grandchildren, Gabby Collins and Brady Lane; one great-great granddaughter, Raeni Kerr. Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Thursday from 6-9 PM and on Friday from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM with Reverend Jason Elliott officiating.
